Graduate of an approved School of Nursing with an AD, Diploma or BSN degree. |

| EXPERIENCE: |

Minimum of one (1) year recent acute care hospital experience in the
appropriate area within the prior (3) years.

- Current California license
- Valid BCLS card ( C-course provider )
- Proficient in the English language
- Current Health Certificate-proof of Rubella immunization or Rubella titer; documentation of Varicella; Hepatitis B Screening pre-employment physical examination and annual TB testing with chest x-ray for positive reaction
- Good verbal , written and interpersonal skills
- Certificate of completion in specialty nursing area
- Passing of nursing exams with a score of 85% or more

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Registered Nurse is responsible to the Agency Director of Nursing.
In being assigned to a medical facility through EZ Staffing, Inc., the Registered Nurse is responsible to the assigned facility for providing quality customer satisfaction by:
- Assessing patient health problems in order to determine actual or potential problems.
- Conducting and diagnosing initial and on-going physical, psychosocial and spiritual assessment on each patient following established guidelines/ protocols to ensure an accurate nursing diagnosis and to provide family centered care.
- Assisting in the planning and implementation of nursing care with physicians and other health care professionals.
- Evaluating responses to interventions and modifying the plan of care accordingly.
- Providing care to age specific patient population such as adolescent, young adult, adult and older adult utilizing the nursing process.
- Providing direct and indirect patient care services including but not limited to the administration of medications and implementation of diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures as ordered by the physician.
- Safeguarding and respecting the patient's right to privacy and confidentiality.
- Acting as a patient and family advocate using the nursing process and problem solving techniques.
- Utilizing leadership skills in the supervision of patient care given by other members of the team, which may include LVN/LPNs, CNAs and other appropriate personnel.
- Developing and maintaining effective communication with patients, families, physician's colleagues and co-workers to ensure the on-going provision of patient care.
- Demonstrating the ability to perform and respond appropriately in emergency situations.
- Providing patient and family education based on assessed needs regarding diagnosis, treatment, protocols and diagnostic testing.
- Identifying and practicing in infection control by intervening, reporting and recording any problems to appropriate personnel for follow-up.
- Addressing needs or potential needs for discharge planning on all assigned patients.
- Participating in the Unit and Medical Center activities.
- Performing tasks and/or interacting with patients, families, staff and other personnel in a courteous, honest and compassionate manner.
